With a Gel Press mono-printing plate at your fingertips you can create a myriad of colourful
and patterned backgrounds for your mixed media art, especially when paired with the Art
Printing Texture Plates from Carabelle Studio.
Join Kate in this technique-focused class and she will guide you through some of her
favourite techniques and share lots of tips to create brightly coloured backgrounds whilst
avoiding the dreaded mud!

After a morning of printing Kate will then share with you some of her top tips for finishing
to get the very best out of your prints which we will then bind into a cute 10cm concertina
book full of techniques.
Please bring: A gel plate, brayer, white pen (such as a Posca), scissors, paper trimmer, dark
pencil such as a Stabilo Aquarellable.

May 2020 we’re bringing to you Kate Crane for another wonderful workshop weekend. Known to many as The Kathryn Wheel, Kate is a Crafts Tutor who’s frequented many stores across the UK and Europe alike, she’s also an accomplished name in various art publications as well as being a treasured designer for Carabelle Studios. Whilst her instructional videos are a god send, there’s nothing like being taught in person and with her calm and clear teaching style we can guarantee crafters of all ability will feel well looked after under her guidance. All Workshops are full day workshop and will be from 10am to 4pm. The cost of each workshop is £50 per day this includes all materials & refreshments
